first time, but here goes

LU, don't know how, don't care how, just get the W.

looking at the JMU roster, the one thing I do notice is that their DB's are a little smaller compared to our WR's

They give up a lot of yards 427 a game, but gain 497 a game. Haven't scored less than 23 points against FCS competition. They have played some close games with average teams (Charlotte, Delaware, Albany, Stony Brook). They have a mobile quarterback, Vad Lee, who is accurate passing the ball. He looked great against Richmond and Stony Brook. Seem like a similar team to CCU, but with a weaker defense.

I think the Defense can keep them around 23 pts we can come away with like a 4 pt victory, don't wanna get into another shootout with another team. What plays into the Flames favor is they probably wont be favored and in just about every game they have nothing to lose, but can become media darlings by winning.

josh/masha legs will be the difference, I just hope overall decision making is better.

The defense needs to continue to play well. On the other side of the ball, we need to execute better in the red zone, and the opponent's side of the field (Having Woodrum healthy would help a lot). We were fortunate to get that YAC touchdown by Peterson. We would have struggled to get a touchdown without that big play.

Prior to Saturday, CCU hadn't scored less than 30, and had averaged 45 over their last 6.

Playing the comparative score game, and using CCU and Richmond as measuring sticks (since we were so even with them head to head) the only game that looks bad for us is their big margin over Richmond. CCU destroyed Charlotte, who only lost 40-48 to JMU. They lost big to a Villanova team that Richmond beat. They also lost to 6-6 Delaware and only beat W&M by 7 and 3-8 Lehigh by 3.

They have won their last 7 and are coming off lopsided wins against Richmond and an awful (1-11) Elon team. Their defense gave up 27 to Elon though, which is the most the Phoenix scored all year. Tough matchup, but we can beat them.

I think if we have the eye of the tiger we can do it talent wise. The question is whether the big accomplishment of making the playoffs causes us to let our foot off the gas because in hindsight we will be able took at this season as a success no matter the result on Saturday.

I say we can win.

In Richmond's defense, Strauss was limping around that day and played poorly. Vad Lee was the starting QB at Georgia Tech last year. After the game yesterday, you can't count this Liberty team out! Go Flames!!!! I still vividly remember that rain game against the Dukes (stayed the whole game). Beat JMU!!!!

It was 45-7 at halftime, and that 7 was on a trick WR pass to the QB. The entire second half was garbage time. Also, Elon scored one last TD as time expired.

Not saying Elon was a fantastic win, but the stats certainly don't tell the story there.

Anyway, should be a great game!

It's college kids and it's week to week. Who saw that defensive performance from us coming Saturday? Masha had done very well but we need josh and Dante healthy. We can def win the game if the defense shows up like coastal.

Love seeing the contrast between Dukie's compatriots on the JMU board and the folks here. I think that the ration between the people who are relatively normal and the wacko koolaid drinkers are about the same. In both cases, the wackos are ignorant. That isn't meant to be a commentary on Dukie's post. If folks here think that we will be playing a team of the same calibre as Coastal, there will be some surprised fans come Saturday.

I think the game will be close only because getting blown out would be easier on my heart but out of curiosity why do you think it will be so one sided?
