Nicely done, SlyFox. I'll be in next week to yak with you guys.

One correction. Adrian Tracy is a DE, not a LB.

Cool ... I just went by the roster even though it looked form the stats and pics that he should be a DE.

In your opinion is this a winnable game and will it set the tone for the remaining games? Seems like a key game to me but I still don't know too much about WM.

Very winnable game IMO. We are home, it is homecoming which we are expecting a record number of Alumni and you know the students will be there and the community came out last time. We will have 16,000 plus in the stadium I think and it will be loud. Our guys should be able to put together a good performance that day. I am so amped up already for this one!

This is more than a winnable game. W&M lost to Hofstra Saturday at home, the same Hofstra that lost to Towson the week before on their home turf, which is the same Towson we lost to earlier at Towson.

As far as setting a tone for the rest of the season, sure it could set a very positive tone. If the guys win, then their confidence should be soaring, and we could win out. If we lose in a well played game, I don't think it would crush our confidence too much, and we could keep on going forward for the rest of the year.

I saw they played Maryland pretty well so I thought they might be at a similar level to LU. Also looking at last year's score--not so good.

William & Mary is a traditionally strong I-AA school from one of the elite I-AA leagues. They obliterated us a year ago 56-0 when they had a much better team and we were coming off back-to-back blowouts to Youngstown State & UConn. W&M has bigtime name recognition in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

They are clearly nowhere near as strong right now as they were this time last year. Folks on their board are talking of possibly finishing as low as 2-9 this season. For Tribe fans that is unimaginable for a program that routinely is in the I-AA Playoffs.

This will be another real test of how far we have come since last year's debacle. A victory over the Tribe in front of a full house could trigger even more investment in our progarm and build an even stronger following in the community.

This is about as crucial of a non-conference game as we'll have all season at Williams.

yeah, i am so excited about it....i've been looking foward to this game since football season started.....i hope the crowd is as big or bigger then expected....they are talking about temp bleachers...i wonder how many they will bring in, and what they mean by temp bleachers....maybe somebody on the "inside" could share some insight

As pumped as I am about the upcoming game and improvements we have made, we need to be realistic and not think this will be an easy game.

I think we can certainly win with a very good effort for 4 quarters. One of the things we need to remember is that last year we went into this game already knowing the outcome just not how bad the final score would be. I am very encouraged that we show inprovement every week. If we continue to do that, we will be where we all want to be before you know it.

I agree. We have to play 4 quarters to win this game. W&M is still a more established program than us. We should be pumped for homecomming...hopefully the crowd will help.

I believe it will be close if we play well...I think we can make it interesting. We may play well and lose a close one...and that would still show progress.

But the worst case would be if we make some mistakes early, and then the crowd won't be able to help us.

It's winnable, but I'd still consider it an upset if LU beats W&M...but I believe it can happen this year.

Having not seen W&M this season I don't know if I am just gonna say they are better than us so easily. I know we can compete in terms of solid D, a couple of big playmakers on offense and a homecoming crowd. They don't carry the 56 points into this game guys. I wouldn't be surprised if we beat them by a decent margin. We are gonna be tough in Williams stadium under coach Rocco.

I watched part of Saturday's game on Comcast Sportsnet over the web thanks to my TVU (which you guys need to download if you haven't already). Elijah Brooks wasn't finding the holes he did last year against us. And their QB was extremely inconsistent. Defensively they looked OK.

Before this season began I would've put us at two touchdown underdogs. After what I've seen from both teams this year, I personally seeing this one as a toss-up. But I agree the atmosphere will give us a strong advantage. Its too early to post predictions. But after I see how the Tribe fare this weekend against the Minutemen I'll have a better idea.

No one is saying this will be an easy win. We know we have to play for 4 full quarters, and it will be a very tough game to win.

Elijah Brooks wasn't finding holes because holes weren't there. The O-Line has been horrible all year.

I'll have an extensive preview for the game around Monday.

The radio announcer? Nay. I don't think the guy who did baseball stuff even works for W&M any more. He commented on my website a month or 2 ago and it wasn't from a WM account...

The Tribe will be limping into Lynchburg next Saturday. UMass is among the best I-AA teams I've ever seen, but our play was not very good. The surprise was that our defense just didn't show up. They had played well in the first four games. Our offense remains inept, and stalled 3 times in UMass territory in the first half.

Our offense wil get untracked at some point. We really should have won both the Maine and Hofstra games, and with any kind of offensive production, we would have. Maine showed its mettle with an easy win at Towson yesterday.

Looking forward to a good crowd.

Another question. Are the lots around Williams public parking? If so, how early to get a spot? Tailgating OK?
Are we back?
