I dunno. I, feeling good about this season. The remaining Conferences seem determined to play, and there are going to be a lot of teams needing games. LU will be more than happy to make themselves available. LU has a real opportunity to make chicken salad from chicken poopey

The Coast Guard Academy (where I nearly went before a spring semester scholarship offer from LU) does indeed have a team. But they are D3.

The three teams would play each other for the Presidents Cup and call it a season. All three schools have significant capabilities of controlling their environments. It would essentially be a Mini-Bubble concept.

Hey, having a 2-game season doesn't sound as bizarre today as it did a week ago.

They should at least throw VMI and The Citadel a bone and play them. That's if the SoCon plays of course.

Liberty needs to give up on FCS schools other than WCU and only schedule FBS schools. We have a really good opportunity for putting our brand out there and building good relationships that may pay off in the near future. i suspect that there's going to be some serious realignment much sooner than expected.

I’m starting to lean that way. Bowl Eligibility will be flexible. With so few teams playing the 6 win threshold will be “fluid”. I’m thinking if you play, you’ll be Bowl eligible

I'd imagine some bowl games may not happen but if they somehow do have them all, that would be kind of a crazy world.

Our strength of schedule could get much much tougher. Or it'll just be cancelled anyways. Nothing is a sure bet at this point. What a whirlwind.

Anyone else just thankful that we are FBS this morning and blessed with a football program that has the finances to stay in the waiting game this long. We have come a long way in such a short amount of time. 15 years ago I sat through the last losing season as a freshman and our only win that year was a nail biter against a D2 school

Since then 14 straight non-losing seasons with multiple conference championships, playoff appearance and win and then last years bowl win.

Thankful.

Really the possibilities for how the conferences could be realigned could really really work in LU's favor. Conferences are cash strapped, and LU could come in as the savior for the bottom line for one of these conferences, if being in a G5 conference even outweighs our Independent football aspirations, which I am not sure it does.

Would it make sense to bump Western Carolina up to 9/5 - add Charleston Southern 9/12 and can stay flex on BYU Army or other G5 later in season. I doubt FCS wants a late game if they are doing 4 non con and breaking for spring ball. 2 FCS games to warm up heading in to WKU. We can get 12 games if we want them and start in 9/5. I disagree with the later start for Big 12 etc - just more time for things to go south.
