Do we even have the rom capacity?
Why would anyone want to come to Lynchburg? It's needs to offer more than just A Bowl.
Alcohol
Given the dynamics of Liberty's belief system, I seriously doubt if they would ever prohibit alcohol in the stadium. I used my old church as an example where fans could tailgate but in certain areas. My old church had watchdogs (security) to watch over the property, but not totally interfere with fans. If Liberty can tolerate tailgating, they could work around it.
Room capacity
I was reminded that 'phase 3' of the expansion of Williams stadium will not be completed until we get invited to an FBS conference. I believe after phase 3 gets completed, Williams stadium will hold 30,000 fans. That may be enough space on surface, but other issues to consider is space in the press boxes, luxury suit boxes, etc. I'm not sure of the dynamics phase 3 would cover in that regard.
Why Lynchburg?
I mentioned earlier that Lynchburg is a not a preferred destination like say San Antonio, Tampa, New York City, etc. However, there are bowls in the mid-Atlantic during the month of December. I believe that Liberty has done a great job of adding activities for students. Will those activities entertain everyone? Probably not since not every fan is going to be in the 18-35 year old range. This is where I would have appreciated incite about the city itself from some of the posters on here. Are there enough hotels, restaurants, shopping malls in the area to pull this off? Hopefully, someone could answer the questions respectfully. If Liberty could expand in those areas, that could greatly increase its chances of hosting such an event, if they ever choose to.
