For the record:

'dementia' - n. severe impairment or loss of intellectual capacity and personality integration, due to the loss of or damage to neurons in the brain

'dimension' - n. magnitude; size

I GMTM all the time, but most of the time I am at home where there is a nice red line that goes under a word that is spelled wrong...so it helps me not look so stupid

I didn't want to quote everything.. but they would not put 10 on one side...they would be on both...also we do not own them...I really can't get into the price right now but its about the price of a lower end new Mercedes....They also have double ones which would seat 48 people...

It will be interesting to see how much interest these things get from businesses and private groups....I am sure, as many have said, if the interest is good then they will build permenant suites...which would be cool

I don't know how these would compare... it seems that these are a 'best option' but nothing close to what we'd really get.

Here's a thought: :brightidea How would permanent ones affect our stadium expansionablity? yes I know that's not a word. But everybody has always said, that the current design was planned for expansion to go up and not around. Would a permanent suite structure affect our ability to build an upper deck in the future? I'm sure we're not dumb enough to shoot ourselves in the foot like that, but it's just something to think about.

i was talking to GMTM yesterday and he was speaking with some athletic dept. staffers and another reason for these suites is to get people in the seats instead of hanging out at the top of the stands. you can see from the pics how long these suites are. i like them. i just wish i had some cash to get one. some more pics from libertyflames.com.

obviously these are temporary, so when expansion is needed they can just remove these suites. indeed the expansion design would go up, and i could see suites at the top of the upper deck with a large press box and suites like at nc state's carter-finley stadium. oddly enough, the original contractor for williams stadium built carter-finley.

Smoothie is right...They will be here for the next week...I think it will make the stadium so much better during the season.

yeah...I never really thought about the people standing up top....these will help fill in the stadium more which will be cool and close it in a little bit more to add more noise...the louder the better

As for building permanent suites...I doubt they will do that until they do the expansion, that way they can work all those plans into it....I am ready for football season now

great shot here

very close to what William's could look like- using the existing "bowl" seating, add an upper deck on each side with the existing entry points at the top of the current seats becoming a tunnel at the bottom of the upper deck. (make sense?)

the pressbox/suites go atop the whole thing.

That looks pretty sweet.

Last season's game atmosphere was electric. I can't wait for the upcoming season. Adding upgrades will only help the cause.

When Williams stadium was first built they had an artists rendering of further expansions located in the athletic department. The first expansion was to take the lower levels on both sides and make them into a horseshoe shape. I don't think this is possible now with the football operational center but phase II was decks on both sides and that looked just like NC State's stadium just as PAMedic states. I think they were looking at 45,000 seats after phase II but I could be off on the number because its been awhile.

The next stadium expansion will be 10,000 seats. I'm assuming it will be put on each side.

Look at Kidd Brewer at App for how a second level can be added. I'm pretty sure that's how they did it. They've got the two decks on one side and then the single one on the other. Take the top one off and it looks almost exactly like our stadium.

I took a look inside the demo box at the stadium today. It's fairly nice inside but the roof deck seating is where you want to be. Second-best seat in the house (next to mine, of course). 8)

Libertine didn't do a very good job of hiding the hooch once he left.

Oops. My booze-hiding skills have waned some since graduation, I guess.

I got a chance to look at the luxury suite and it is very nice. But as libertine says the deck is the best seat in the house.

Second-best.

I'm pretty sure the SFC ain't coughin' up enough coinage to reserve it.

He meant the 50 yard line.

If they do, I'll just move down to the 40 or 35, that way I can be right in the ears of either the offensive or defensive huddle.

I'd like to take partial credit for getting in to the head of Colin Draft's backup QB last home game.
