Ive never seen a broken play work out that well ever. its like they weren't even trying to get to the punter on that play.
As soon as I saw the snap get away I was like "Oh no..." then as soon as I saw not a single white jersey in the neighborhood I was like "what the heck are they doing?!? Somebody should be pouncing on that ball!!!"

Kentucky Wesleyan botches a snap on a punt- Liberty recovers, scores soon thereafter
Liberty botches a snap on a punt- Liberty kicker recovers, has time to order dinner for after the game, gets the punt off and Liberty downs it at the 1 yard line

And if Liberty had been playing Georgia Southern or Richmond or Wofford instead of Kentucky Freaking Wesleyan, that stat is useless.

And that CSU team in '06 was the most grossly overrated college football team of all time. Bucs won 14 in a row by playing tomato can after tomato can after tomato can with a Super Safety win over Coastal thrown in.

That is a fair point Chris...although if Liberty was doing that to those teams itd make that a more impressive stat (for what its worth that isnt saying they would just flipping the script a bit)

And if my car was a Ferarri I'd be able to drive a lot faster.

if you want to worry, worry about:

#1: CCU
#2: Presby if we pull our annual conferance head-in-rectum game
We don't have to worry about Presby. We have them at home. If it was @ Presby, we could worry.

SB will be ready come conference play. They play awful every OOC every year.

CCU and SB we have to worry. The only other one we may have to worry about is GW, but after yesterday I"m not so sure about that.

This just made my day. Hopefully you'll get to experience when the generator runs out of oil. Shuffling screaming kids our of a shrinking bouncy wins major points with the parents!

Major Harris (WVU) vs. Penn State, 1988. It's now referred to simply as "The Play.". Look it up on YouTube.

And now back to your regularly scheduled thread...

I have to raise a major grievance here...while the incident you speak of may be a play, it is not "the play" which with all due respect has always been and always will be, the '82 Cal-Standord game with the band out on the field. We've all seen it - the one, the only, the legendary, "The Play."

What he meant is those of us who are WVU fans know it as "the play".

I'm sorry that you love either cal or stanford so much that you had to point out what everyone else already knew.

I noticed the other kicker warming up at halftime and wondered why he wasn't in the game. Looked very good. Could they be hoping to redshirt him this year?

Attendance was pretty good for an unknown opponent and a cool and sometimes damp evening. Both sides emptied at halftime, I would guess 2/3 of the student side left. Couldn't tell about the baptist side but I no by the end there were probably only a couple hundred in the upper level where we were.
