Better early in the season than late. We need to move on and take care of business next week, and even more importantly, in the conference. GW, Coastal, and SB are all capable of beating us.
We need to play above ourselves to beat anyone left on the schedule!!! With that statement Rogers3, I agree that the Big South schedule will not be a pushover and we are not an automatic choice for the automatic bid!! We are the favorites, so everyone will be gunning for us. But our "tradition" as you call it, shows that we MUST get motivated and overly prepared for EVERY game. No room for let-downs.
Motivation is a tricky monster. Pep talks to whole teams don't always cut it. It often takes one-on-ones with individual players to challenge that one person to change his perspective and see the real deal and give that extra that will be needed. Each one needs to be reminded not to let it be HIS play be the kind that lets the team down, or costs the game.
Pick your heads up, prepare hard, play hard and GO FLAMES.
