Not really. Josh saw BJ wide open in the middle, made the perfect throw and the rest is history. He has much to work on before combine/pro day season but he will give an nfl qb coach an excellent canvas to work with

If Woodrum ends up like Tom Brady, that would be monumental for the school. It would magnify the frustration of the last couple seasons on the mountain though...at least initially.

On FF, we've already had Coaches BJ Williams and Nick Saban in the same sentence, so anything is possible!

This Brady talk is nonsense. He was 20-5 as a starter at Michigan, winning two bowl games including an Orange Bowl victory over Alabama. If it weren't for all the Drew Henson hype, Brady would have gotten more opportunities to showcase himself at the college level. The comparison ends at the fact that neither were projected to go high in the draft.

Well. Nick now has an opening on his staff. And BJ has a resume.....

Im an offense guy not defense so no thanks.

As for JW, I see his career trajectory going one of three ways:

1) He flames out completely (no pun intended)
2) He bounces from team to team (or maybe settles with one team) and has a serviceable if not particularly noteworthy career
3) He lands with a team and has an long and outstanding career, and his "haters" (a term I use VERY loosely) share a massive helping of crow while watching his Hall of Fame Speech.

Great insight into the future.

I think you have all the possibilities covered there my friend. Not much else could happen. That is IF he is drafted. Not sure that is a forgone conclusion. I wouldn't draft the guy at all. Can't throw the long ball with any accuracy. Has does a lot of good things, but not enough to play on Sundays. IMVVVHO

So you'd turn down Saban? Wow. Maybe Kiffin will leave

Your sarcasm is duly noted adam...

Like I said, he has a lot of things he needs to work on, but if he is willing, Josh will probably end up on either of the latter two trajectories

Maybe if he got with somebody like say George Whitfield or something, he could work on his issues and whatever mechanics may be at play here.

The biggest thing he needs to work on though, is with the media. His tendency to "throw his teammates under the bus" is well documented. The ONLY person whose play he will be able to effect at the next level will be his own. This is one time where he needs to be selfish I think. If he focuses only on his own failings from day to day and game to game, instead of talking about the offensive line, the running backs, the water boy and everything else...he will last a lot longer in a pro locker room

I don't think Id fit in well there...they are known for their running backs and I don't think an "Air Raid" style offense would sit well with the fans and boosters down in Tuscaloosa

I have not been a big fan of how Josh has handled a lot of things this year, but any Flame that makes an NFL roster is a plus for the program, and that is magnified if it´s a QB. Having said that, I personally do not see him as having NFL quarterback talent or skills. Mediocre arm strength and way too inconsistent on any throw over 20 yards. I also think he needs to lose at least 15 lbs of the bulk he put on last summer to have any semblance of the mobility a QB with his other defeciencies needs at that level.

Well according to Twitter, the most disliked QB on Flamefans got mentioned on ESPN today (the screen grab is on the LFN Facebook page)

Josh's increased weight really hurt us this year. He bulked up way too much and lost a lot of speed, flexibility and agility from his Junior year.

And yet he still got invited to a rather major all-star game, got mentioned on ESPN and has a chance to be on the list headed to the NFL combine when they release the list here in a couple weeks, even though I do agree with your points about his chances from 2014 to 2015.

Josh says in this article that he has been invited to the combine. Some here won't like some of his quotes. I'm fine with them.

Next month, Woodrum will have another chance to display his talents and meet with NFL coaches and executives. He said he has been invited to the NFL Combine, which will be held Feb. 26-29 in Indianapolis.

“I was really hoping that I would be invited to it, just so I could showcase my athletic ability and meet the player personnel [officials] and the scouts,” Woodrum said. “I know a lot about offenses and how they operate and how defenses operate, so I’m looking forward to getting into the film room and the meeting room with these guys.”

I concur BYD...its not like the guy actually DID anything to any of us...I mean if he ran over their dog or something like that I can see making it personal...but losing some football games at the end of the day really isn't going to affect anyone's day to day life on here.
