FlameFans.com tailgate every week. It doesn't have to be nearly as big as this week's was, but hanging out and stuff like that before the game was great. If it became a weekly thing, we could invest in a banner (each person giving a couple bucks). It'd be the best exposure we could possibly have for this website. Homecoming would be the big one because so many people are in but since a lot of us are at the games anyways, might as well have fun before them.


Anyone interested for next week? I've got five 2-liters and a pack of hot dogs left over from this week that we can use. The grill would be the hard part. If someone has a converter to plug regular things into your car (either straight to the battery or to the lighter) I can bring the George Foreman. Othe than that I don't have a grill.

I think it would be ideal if we could pick up a portable BBQ pit from Walmart or whatever that they have in the camping sections, we could use that from week to week.

Would help during the cold mornings, as well. Hotdogs/Hamburgers are fairly cheep and we could probably pick that up pretty easy.

I plan on getting one before next year. Depending on how much they are, I could possibly get a really small charcoal one for this year.

If we're going to do it for this week we're going to need one of the alumni in the Flames Club to reserve a spot for us. Otherwise it'd take me and three more SFC members to get a spot in lower P1. I like our spot in upper P1 where we were on Saturday. If not, we can just do it in the parking lot and not on the grass.

Smoothie, if you're in the Flames Club, I think you can call and get a spot in upper-P1. For me to get a spot in lower P1, I have to get 3 other SFC members with me.

Last week was my first Liberty game in about 2 years and i was amazed at the different atmosphere now i fully intend on getting season tickets for next year and coming to all the games this year. Alot cheaper stay in Lynchburg than driving up to Charlottesville like i have been doing! It truly is a blessing to see Liberty havi ng that big game college atmostphere....I

You have been the glue for this board and the board has been the vehicle for getting this thing rolling for football. After my family showed with no food last week - I felt like I had to help do something this time around or run the risk of having my posting priviledges dropped! Seriously, I'm just thrilled my wife is into it. She likes football but give her credit - two weeks in a row - 10 hours round trip for us with the kids - she is awesome baby.

Plus we are thinking about VMI on 11-18 - do we dare our first Flamefans.com road warrior tailgate? Jump on Southwest to Baltimore and you can ride down with us Sly. You can be a "nanny" and fan :>)

I had another idea for next year. Anyone can join the Flames Club. It can be a person, a business, etc. What if we, as FlameFans.com, joined the Flames Club. It would be the perfect way to get our name out there even more and it would support the school. If we could get 25 people to put up 10 bucks (which shouldn't be hard) then we would be at the $250 level and be in good shape. We could reserve a FlameFans.com tailgating spot for every game. It'd support the school and be exposure for us in the best way possible.

We could possibly even do this before basketball season. If it ran for a full year then it would cover most of football season next year too. It'd be worth looking into.

Not bad ideas SJ & H-burg. Of course I am locked into Houston on Friday nights until Thanksgiving because of our high school football show that I have been saddled with at the station (ugh).

I definitely believe we need to do more in a visible manner to build this community. It seems like we do extremely well with those who are aware of the board but our biggets challenge is getting the word out. I'm trying to get more creative in my networking. Anybody else with more ideas are welcome to share them.
