btw, my wife is constantly washing baseball pants for me in a 10 yr old kenmore washer... with regular old detergent and never has a pair came out with as much dirt as the ones "cleaned" with regular detergent...

Actually what i did was purchase a license to sell them so i could get mine for 499.00..as far a really trying to sell them i haven't till recently but i figured with rising fuel and grocery prices it might be of some help to individuals.
And it also helped that the company is run by a Christian C.E.O and 30 % of the licence holders are either pastors or christian lay workers.

I didn't watch the youtube video because it's blocked, but where does $24/month worth of savings come in? From not using hot water? because that seems a bit absurd.

well i guess off of hot water usage (we rarely ever use hot water to wash clothes, usually set to (warm/cold) which doesn't use much hot water) and the cost of detergent is where the cost savings is?

we do approx 100 loads of laundry a year with us and our 2 kids and buy detergent twice a year?....

what kind of energy consumption are we talking about here?

the website gives none of that info.

its not magic stain getter outer either, it says on the website it should clean better (the clip kind of proved it right but then as i said, it used an old commercial washing machine as the "regular detergent washer")and also get rid of more bacteria (which the clip proved wrong)

its basically an attachement that you add to your washer that allows you to not use hot water and detergent.

I don't see how you would save any money using this.

You save money by not having to buy detergent ..fabric softner ...bleach ....now the money saved depends on how much of these products of course you buy and what they cost . And without having to use hotwater that saves on electric as well.and you get a break on your utility bill also lets say those three products cost 24.00 for a month ..and since you don't have to spend that 24.00 dollars that goes right back into your pocket.

The unit is like turning on a 100 watt light bulb and it does shut itself off after the wash is done ...you can also let your clothes completely dry in the washer and then finish them off in the dryer saving you more money...
It takes about 10-20 minutes to install depending on the size of your laundry room ...and you can install it yourself if your a handyman ...

It comes with a 3 year warranty to start off with ..thats a complete replcement warranty ..it fails to operate you send it back and then they send you a new one.

ok so i've ran some numbers...

with a normal everyday washing machine here is what the costs work out too

hot/cold cycle - .36 cents per cycle - 200 cycles (4 per week) - $72 per yr
cold/cold cycle - .04 cents per cycle - 200 cycles(4 per week) - $ 8 per yr

difference of 64 bucks.

200 loads worth of fabric softener - $40
200 loads worth of Detergent - $67
bleach (who uses more than one jug a year) - $10

thats a total of $181 bucks worth of savings (around 15 bucks a month)

so it would essentially take someone who does 200 loads of laundry a year...almost 4 years to recoup the money spent....if you've bought it for 500 bucks it would take 2 and 3/4 years to recoup...

and they only give a 90 day warranty on the bulbs....which are 30 bucks for each bulb...how many loads do you get out of a bulb?

given that it doesn't wash any better than normal washing machines i just can't see why i would invest in this other than to drive my wife nuts.....
