Ok...I'm obsessed with Facebook and it's a little different then most of the college students are obsessed with it. I'm more obsessed with their business practices and format of doing things (the new Google, Firefox type mindset).
I recently started a "business page" so facebooker's can become "Fans" they can post on it's own wall and everything. They also offer free tools such as a tracker to tell you how many people visited your site and how many were unique visitors. Then you can create an add where you choose your target audience (age, gender, status, whatever) and it's VERY cheap. This is some of the best advertising you can do right now.
Also here's an older article about the business of Facebook...but it's a GREAT read...you really need to read it all. Oh yeah it's just a matter of time before the go public...I miss Schorcy so much right now
