I only caught the last 20 minutes of it as well and won't be around when it re-airs...seemed interesting...though of course slanted...

I think I posted this in another thread.

The "God's Warriors" series is a religion smear campaign by CNN's Christian Amanpour. She grew up in Iran and is one of those agnostic/atheist types that believes the world would be better off without any religion. I watched an interview with her about the series and her basic message was that she was doing this as a warning to the world about the people in this videos. Essentially, if the non-believers of the world didn't speak up the world would be overrun with "religious extremism." While separating them out into three episodes, she also makes the point that there's no difference between the end goals of Judaism, Islam and Christianity.

It is the "elitist" point of view. For them, armed Islamic militants and radicals are comparable to a Christian praise and worship youth ralley. They apparently fail to make the distinction between Christians praying for peace in the Middle East and Islamic radicals blowing up civilian buses.

I watched the first 30 minutes, and it was great free publicity for LU--it showed the academic side of LU: the classrooms, the replica of the Supreme Court room, the mansion, and Jerry's office. Lots of footage interviewing both Jerry and the new law school dean, and interviewing several students. Watching the first 30 minutes really made me proud to be an LU faculty member.

The program also showed a set of twins who came to LU. One of them was the graduation speaker at their public high school. Their teachers said they couldn't pray at the graduation service, but this student lead the whole senior class in the Lord's prayer, which they all stood to recite in unison.

Considering the bashing we were expecting from this reporter, it sounds like it turned out all right at least for 30 minutes.

One of those girls was in the marching band with me fall of 06. They both tried out for the wind ensemble this year, one on trombone, the other on french horn (both made it). Ive had a chance to meet both of them and they are really the kind of kids that are going to really do big things once they leave LU
