Given wy wife and I are spending most of tomorrow travelling and she is working the night shift now, we had our Christmas Day today. What are you giving this Christmas?

For my wife:
Some clarisonic face scrubber thingy
Tea and a teapot
Owl themed sticky notes
Some earrings
A box of Kilwins chocolate truffles

The headliner gift I got was a game called Cash & Guns, which I highly recommend.

Money towards organizations like Blood:Water Mission, Compassion International, Hope International, Heifer International, etc. There's just no need for most of us, even my lower middle class relatives, to accumulate more stuff.

For my wife: A $35 Wal-Mart giftcard toward sewing supplies and Jeff Dunham's new comedy DVD
For my mom: kitchen supplies (per her request)
For my dad: Gold Toe socks (found out that is all he ever asks for since he gets everything else for himself)
For my son: Books, a puzzle and his first bucket of Mega Bloks...and a Cozy Coupe

Bought her a handbag and matching wallet from Kate Spade, a cord to plug her iPhone into her car for music, and new underwear.

Family gift this year - Xbox One with the Assassin's Creed bundle. My wife LOVES those games (she even played the one for her phone!).

And I concur with Schfourteenteen about Cash and Guns - I got a review copy of it a few weeks back from Amazon and we've been loving it. Easy to learn and LOTS of fun to play.

My wife and I are going to NYC in February to see Lebron in Madison square, we were thinking about the train, and also about hotel. Let me know how it works out.

My best gifts were taco bell and Red Lobster giftcards. Taco Bell is something quick I can get on the way to work and Red Lobster is one of my favorite restaurants as far as chain places go. I also got socks and a Carhartt jacket

Taking Amtrak to NYC is a no brainer. By the time you take Gas Tolls (those bridges into Manhattan don't pay themselves  ) and crazy Valet parking prices you might break even! Add to that being able to chill on the train, etc it's awesome. Plus Penn Station IS Madison Square Garden, so not very far at all. We stayed at The Affinia across the street last time and it was pretty nice. Hotel rooms ain't cheap, so be prepared. The Hotel Pennsylvania is moderately historic and right across the street and more 'budget' minded. Times Square and Broadway are walking distance, although rather long walks, and well worth it.
Any other questions let me know

The Lion King is probably the next show we'll see when the fam makes it's next trip to the Big Apple. That said, I could watch Phantom forever. It's my fav broadway musical.

Phantom is far and away the best (and longest running) Broadway show. I got to see both a touring production and the LU student production a few years ago. Seeing it in NYC is on my bucket list

Yes, he was the composer and impresario of Cats and the 1986 version of The Phantom of the Opera, among other popular works.

Both were choreographed by Gillian Lynne who, if you listen to the first Ted Talk with Sir Ken Robinson, would have never become who she was if not for a principle who realized that she didn't have a learning disorder, she was just a dancer.
