I think you're too close to the situation to be impartial. From everything I've read, he approached multiple people trying to hire them to kill his estranged wife who filed for divorce last year. Unfortunately for him/fortunately for her, one of the people he approached turned out to be an undercover police officer performing a sting operation.

I think you are misinterpreting my post. There aren't any stones here to be thrown. I am genuinely curious. I know you can't say anything publicly but you can't blame me for being curious about the statement you made. It seemed like a pretty straight forward case and I hope if there is more to the story that one day those details get released. I don't think there is anything wrong with that thought process.

Interesting... This guy fell apart, it seems. Might have been a decent person, but seems like he went off the deep end. I'm sure the 'roids didn't help. After reading up on him, I wouldn't say it sounds like the case was over-sensationalizing the situation.

so... let me get this straight: this guy is cool, admits to trying to have his wife murdered- but hey, no prob- after all, it's more complex than it would appear"

ON THE OTHER HAND.....

LU cop has to shoot a guy attacking him with a hammer- whoaaaaaaaa.... "SKEPTICAL"

not sure we can believe "his story"

why- there MUST have been something else he could've done. I mean, he only got attacked by a hammer wielding guy, bigger than him, who beat him then also tried to get his gun.

sure. makes sense.

... and both cases involve someone who has lost it and is willing to do something drastic. PA is right... just because you are "closer" to the AILD singer's case, it doesn't change the facts- the guy was not in his right mind. Believe me, if the Commonwealth's Attorney found any fault in the way the LUPD handled the situation, he would have run with it. Instead, he actually spoke in very supportive terms regarding the officer. Maybe you should think about what might have happened if the tables had been turned, because that does happen, and it can easily end up with a dead officer.

right, which makes it a bit hypocritical for you to place judgement on the LU cop. You must see that.

I read the entire thing and he doesn't seem to show much remorse for trying to have his wife killed. He consistently painted himself as a victim and blamed everyone around him for his problems. Everything he said was very self-serving. I totally agree with flamerbob. Tim seems like a total d-bag and six years isn't nearly long enough.
