WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama is expected to sign an
executive order on Monday reversing restrictions on federal funding
of embryonic stem cell research.
A senior administration official says the president will hold an
event at the White House to announce the move. The official spoke
on condition of anonymity because the policy had not yet been
publicly announced on Friday.
Stem cells are the building blocks that turn into different
kinds of tissue.
Under President George W. Bush, federal money for research on
human embryonic stems cells was limited to those stem cell lines
that were created before Aug. 9, 2001. No federal dollars could be
used on research with cell lines from embryos destroyed from that
point forward.

Scientists have seen success using adult stem cells. These are cells from your own bodies, and really carry to ethical ramifications. Hardcore pro-lifers support using adult stem cells (even Falwell). They see it as a viable alternative.

Crazy pro-abortionists want to use embryonic stem cells, which basically means fertilizing an egg and freezing that embryo, then using it in the hopes that it will develop into any adult stem cell you want. There has never been any succesful trials with this. These embryos are later destroyed.

It's too bad people don't care more about morality. This really makes me sick. Fortunatley even social liberals who are the least bit fiscaclly conservative are starting to irritated with Obama.

I don't want our country to continue going down the toilet, so I really hope Obama's policies start to fail miserably and quickly so we can get our country back on the right track.

I heard on the radio the other day that if you take all the spending of George Washington up to Bush, you still wouldn't add up to what Obama has spent in his first 60 days in office. Don't know if it's true but is quite a sick statistic.

Not only is our generation stuck with a deficit, our tax money is being spent by killing the innocent.
