Do you realize how much Google probably has on you, HMO? They could probably delete your life with the push of a button.

Is there an app that works with bluetooth? Initially I probably wouldn't consider canceling my phone to use a free service on the iPod, but if I can save $600 per year, that's a reason to seriously consider it, even if I could only use it over Wifi. I could get a prepaid phone for emergencies or something.

So you have access to a wi-fi connection 24/7 then?

not everyone wants to be accessible all the time...I know a lot of cell phone users that really could care less and rarely use their phone...if you're that type (I'm not) then that's perfect for you and it'll cost you about 20 bucks a year (free once google happens)

No, which is why I would have a cheapo prepaid cell for emergencies. The rest of the time people would leave vociemails and I would return calls when I had a wifi signal.

I just started using chrome.

I am not a big browser buff, I just like it better, and its faster. And like HMO, I have a thing for google. They seem to be the best.

Are you having any trouble when entering text? Do this: reply to this thread. Type out some stuff, and then put your curser in the middle of what you just typed and then start typing from there. For me it would look like it would "type over" what I just wrote like I hit the insert key by accident. But then when you try to fix it, it would adjust everything correctly. It got to be very annoying.

It's the only reason I don't use it anymore. It seemed superior in every way, but I just couldn't take that.

Many of you have heard us talk about Google Voice. They have made some changes. Now you can use their voicemail on your service (even sprint that used to charge .20 cents a minute). The reason you would want to do this is because they will type out the message left and email it to you or text it to you. So this is great for those who hate checking voicemail like I do. I have a few invites left so if you need one let me know. Also keep an eye out for the ability to port your number over to Google voice.....that will be elite when you can do that b/c right now having to use a new number just isnt an option

I love it. A lot easier to text when I have my computer, I hate VM so the transcribed email is great, The only the I dont like is when I make a call using it the voices are delayed sometimes and thats annoying but other than that I really like it, especially for people like us who's phones dont work well at their house :P

Have either of you used youmail? How does it compare? I can't get a text version of the actual message unless I pay extra but all of the other features are awesome. Like referring to the caller by name.

Ohh so your using the whole number...you know you dont have to...you can dial *28(then your GV number) and then anytime a call to your normal cell number goes unanswered it will send it to your google voicemail and you'll get the message.

I've used Youmail...GV is like YM on steroids and it's all free. You can set up custom greetings for certain callers, then block certain people, etc

Like when the voicemail robot lady picks up she knows who's calling via caller ID and says, "Hello TylerBakersGonnaBGreat, LUconn is unable to answer his phone right now" It's a real crowd pleaser.
