Suppose instead of Christianity, this was a Scientology school, and instead of creationism they taught that the origins of life involved an evil Lord named Xenu. Would we say that the Scientologist child got a good education and should be greeted with open arms at institutions of higher learning? I should hope not.Religions aside, as I don't support religious brainwashing in school (eg adam42381), as long as they are taught the other important things, such as important historical and scientific facts and theories that don't fit into their religion then it's fine with me. i won't agree with their "religious teachings" because scientology is nothing more than a scam, but as long as they aren't keeping their students ignorant by not touching on important topics then it would get a passing grade.

I really enjoyed the movie Expelled, and I actually enjoyed reading Philip Johnson's "Darwin on Trial". But you have to learn what society is currently thinking, even if it's wrong.
When I was at Liberty, I was tutoring some girl that was having problems in her philosophy class. And when she had to learn something that she didn't agree with...she would just say, "I reject that".
But I was like, "OK...you can reject that...but you still have to know about it".

Had a Biology teacher the year we were actually covering evolution in high school who, when asked if she believed in God, said "Honestly, I believe that DNA is god". She also sincerely believed that she had real ghosts in her house, so go and figure out how those two beliefs work together.ALUmnus wrote:Okay, kids, this year we're going to teach you something that we pretty much know is an outright lie and completely false and fraudulant science,.Sounds like you went to one of those brainwashing schools...
