really? I thought it was entertaining, but I really wish they hadn't opened up the time issue even more. It's creating too many paradoxes already. Also, we're not really much closer to knowing what's going on. They just brought up an new problem and then quickly solved it. I also didn't feel like any foundation was put down for future episodes. The only somewhat redeeming quality of the events of last night is that we know Mr. Widmore is interested in The Black Rock for some reason. So I enjoyed it a lot, but it disappoints in furthering the story.

Best. Episode. Ever.
LUconn wrote:I enjoyed it a lot, but it disappoints in furthering the story.
Are you kidding? We got plenty of answers/plot advancement tonight. Among them:
  • Desmond finally reached Penny;
    Desmond isn't the only one who has become unstuck in time because of the Island;
    The Island has a crazy effect on some people, possibly because of the same thing that causes the time warp;
    This could be the sickness that afflicted Rousseau's people;
    Daniel Faraday and Desmond are now inextricably linked, and this could come back in future episodes;
    Mr. Widmore bought the log from the Black Rock. Did he use this log to draw up the route for Desmond's race around the world?
This is my favorite episode of the series so far. Amazing writing and phenomenal acting, especially by Henry Ian Cusick and the woman who plays Penny. Unbelievable.

as a scifi junky i say that last night was one of my top 5 episodes....the writing and how they did this story was phenominal. time travel, the idea, is extremely complex though and i hope they take the time to dumb it down and explain the "rules" perse.

i still think that there is something about the island that we don't know...there is more information and people we need to know about...

Basically, the whole premise of the show is now the plot to 'Slaughterhouse Five'.

Anyone else notice that the log was being sold by the Hanso family?

no i think its funny that in the end we'll have watched 6 seasons of a show basically about time traveling pirates...

Man, I love this show. I can truely say it is the only show that keeps me thinking while I am watching it. I'm sure others watch something that makes them do the same, but whatever. I am also a big fan of the whole "pop-up video-Lost edition" episodes that are on before each new one. Good info there on the making of the show. Who knew Hawaii could be used as a setting for so many story lines!

My VCR missed taping about the last 2 or 3 minutes. Can somebody give me a quick summary as to what happened during that time?

last episode wasn't that crazy, (noone posted anything about it) anyone have any input.

It's obvious that Ben's guy on the boat is Michael.

It's painfully obvious. So much so that it's embarassing that they keep hyping it up. YOU'LL NEVER BELIEVE WHO IS ON THE BOAT! It's Michael, isn't it. SURPISE! IT'S MICHAEL!! WE JUST BLEW YOUR MIND BECAUSE YOU THOUGHT HE WAS GONE!!

Hopefully they're playing a trick on us.

But that last episode as a whole could have not aired and nothing would be different.

Not completely true...they did confirm that Widmore is behind the boat, and is desperately trying to find the island.

BTW...what does everybody think of Juliet's therapist meeting Juliet in the woods after she hears all the whispers. I did not think to much of it at the time, but after a bit, realized she should be dead after Ben and the rest of his group gassed all the "others." And she was definitely there, not in Juliet's imagination as Jack saw her as well. Is it similar to when we saw Walt last year...after he "left" the island?

We also confirmed that Juliet is hot!

I knew Michael was coming back right when he left, and now he will come back, but you're right LUCONN, it is ridiculously overhyped, and I'm tired of these stupid episodes that reveal barely anything.

When did Ben gas the others? Did I miss that? I thought he just gassed the Dharma folks. And then the others took over the island and eventually developed into what we saw right before the plane crashed.

We also confirmed that Juliet's therapist is possibly the freakiest looking human on the planet.

That's going to happen unless they give us everything at once, and once they do that, the show's over.

Yea...I guess I just assumed she was one of the originals that got gassed. Just a thought that ran through my head

Last night's episode was decent i think.

Everyone knew it was gonna be michael, aka kevin johnson. I thought it was cool how they weren't like HEY MICHAEL.
They were like nice to meet you kevin, cause they knew they were all on the same "team."

Also, flashback/flashforward at the same time. Thanks for that confusion.

Jin is not dead, he just didn't make it off the island. Hence the grave to cover it up. All the people that didn't make it off the island are "dead."
But not really.

Anyone else have anything new.

Where's Walt? Walt makes birds commit suicide, maybe he's doing the same thing to the freighter crew.

I think we're just gonna have to assume Walt was written out of the show because he looks to old in real life now. So Michael got him off the island and hired a babysitter.
