the difference between dish and directtv: the price you get with dish isn't an introductory offer price, it's the regular price, so if it goes up after a year its because of general rate increases everyone receives, not because of the expiration of some introductory offer. direct tv is always having a cheap introductory offer, but then your rates balloon when the introductory offer ends.

Actually the new offer DirectTV is pushing has a Sunday Ticket free option ,but I am not sure it is the whole season. I would have to go back and look at it again but since I am VERY happy with DishNetwork (BIG 10 NETWORK !!) i dont look at them much. I must say , knock on wood, I have had nothing but positive experiences with them. Just about anything I want/need they accomodate, Of course it could be b/c my monthly bill is pretty enormous, I have 4 tv's 1 HD/Dual DVR and 1 Dual DVR plus HBO and sCINEMAX.

basically, dish has all the same sports channels that DirecTV has, minus sunday ticket, and maybe even more. i didn't research it that much when choosing between the two since the package i got with dish made directv look like a joke, but i'm pretty sure the availability of sports on the two are nearly exactly the same.

Minus Sunday Ticket, NCAA march madness on demand, the nascar package, mlb extra innings, etc.

nascar isnt a sport.

also, you can watch all the march madness games on the internet for free. direct tv cant offer that. you can watch one game on tv and one on the internet that way.
