Leave FARMVILLE alone. I used to live there...WAYYYYYYY back in the day...mid-late 60's. Used to sit on the wall along the sidewalk on High Street and watched the funny men dressed like ghosts parade Main Street most every Friday night. (sorry, I was 5 years old and thats one memory I have)
I just can't join the Go-Bot wannabe lovefest here. "Michael Bay" is a dirty word in my house. I haven't seen it yet but this smells like another stinker from Team Big Loud And Dumb.

I haven't yet seen it either, but every Transformers fan on the Internet shared your concern over the director. Having said that, everyone seems to love it so far. Could it be that he actually got one right?
Michael Bay does tend to go way overboard. He killed the Bad Boys sequel. The last half hour in Cuba was so overblown it actually made me laugh out loud in the theatre. Did he do Faceoff or Con Air? I think those made me laugh at some of the scenes too. I was not big on Transformers but I do want to see this movie. Die Hard first though.
You know what I would like to see - Optimus Prime blow Captain Jack Sparrow up. I can't stand the Pirates of the Caribbean Movies.
A few Movies I have seen this summer and ratings -
Transformers - Great - 5 stars
Ocean 13 - Good - 4 stars
Shooter - Entertaining - 3 stars
3 Good Movies - Christian Writers
1) Thr3e - Not a Kid Movie
2) The Visitation - A little Dark - Not a Kid Movie
3) The Last Sin Eater - A little slow at times - Good message in the end
4) One Night with the King - Great Movie - Watch with your wife
The best movie coming out soon, Christian Based - House - Peretti/Dekker (read the book - it's really good)
Thanks for the recommendations, proto. My wife has been a publicist for some of Dekker's books but we weren't sure what to make of Thr3e. And I wasn't sure whether or not the message in Last Sin Eater from Michael Landon Jr would be positive based on the descriptions.
So how about the weirdo trailer for the secret JJ Abrams project that they've been showing before Transformers? No one is quite sure what it is, but it's certainly creating a stir on the 'net.
Well, you all and my hubby have convinced me to see Transformers just need to wait a few pay checks for a sitter. I love the kid from 'Even Stevens'. We don't watch to much non-Disney channel type shows as the kids ask every question imaginable if we did - Like 'what were the candies that Ray Barone was giving out?' 'What does virginity mean and why does it make you a man?'(from Wonder Years last night).

I caught Transformers this afternoon with my 5-year-old son and my nephews (ages 15 & 13). It was a big hit for the boys. Lots of noise, action and very little dialogue. And that's perfectly cool with me. And don't think I'd want to see it again but it was a fun diversion for two and a half hours.
Based on the aforementioned trailer, I'm guessing Godzilla or something similar.
