I always enjoy my Christmas' and the things I get and all of that and then every year I come on here and read about some of the things people get and am blown away. I am not saying it is a bad thing, I just can fathom giving or getting so much stuff for Christmas. I think I might be way older than I actually am, haha

When we decided to take the cruise we just labeled it 'Christmas' and I would rather spend money on the cruise then for something here.
As for Vegas, I didn't find out till about 2 weeks ago that our part of the Company was going. So since we'd gotten married out there and she had some Personal Days she had to use, plus a $200 Flight voucher made it doable. Being Super Bowl Sunday was an added bonus!

We usually just give gift certificates!

Dr Who has been around for so long, but when in the world did it become the 'cool' thing to watch?? I don't understand this. People act like its this new a great thing and just sound dumb when talking about it. Not you medic, just people I have come across at work.

As for Dr Who I remember watching Tom a Baker episodes on PBS back in the day! He was the best Doctor with David Tennant finishing a close second. I'm a little put off that it's becoming 'cool' to watch. Sorta takes the mystique away.

I thought I'd feel that way about FNL but the East Dillon Lion story line was great, especially since you coach. And I liked the Vince Howard character You still had a lot of the regulars. Gotta love Riggins and you can never get enough minka Kelly. Ever.
As for The Wire get jacked up on some black tar heroin and watch it when you're coming down, I hear it makes it more interesting. As for Dr Who, I'm not sure you are geeky enough so you're fine

Friday Night Lights was awesome for the three seasons it was on.

The Eric Taylor Show was great for the two seasons it was on.

They were different shows with overlapping characters.

I've watched every episode of all three. All three are below The Wire to me. I loved the Sopranos, but they wasted episodes (or half seasons, if you're talking about season 6A). Breaking Bad is No. 2 on my list.

Freaks and geeks was fantastic. I remember being shocked it was being cancelled because everybody I knew loved it too. Time to bring out the DVD set and watch again.

Personally followed Dr Who since the Tom Baker era. And I've been cool since the 70's so the rest of you are band-wagon fans. Of me.

Regarding Dr Who and being cool to watch, just take a gander at the people who watch it. It's not really 'cool', just popular among nerds.
