First, the implication:
Eastern treats its students as young adults who must make their own decisions and grow from experience.
By saying that, she is obviously implying that Liberty does not treat it's students that way. I disagree. Liberty does treat their students that way, however there are certain decisions that they simply can't allow to be made on campus. Those in charge have certain responsibilities because of their own faith to do their best to limit a few decisions from being made on campus. I'm not sure what experiences she wishes to grow from that she couldn't have at LU, but I'd venture to say that the ones we have rules against aren't experiences I'd want to have.
Second, her fallacy:
Liberty creates its rules based on the convictions of its founder.
False. Liberty's rules were created based on decisions by the board of trustees. If she (or anyone else) thinks that every rule at LU were the direct result of Jerry, she's very much mistaken. For that matter, he was also the one who never wanted to kick anyone out. He was not an enforcer at all. But, in order to maintain a higher standard for our campus, some people to be. That's just how it is. We can't be different and be just like every other school at the same time.
I'm glad she still sees LU as a good school and I'm glad she figured out it wasn't for her.
Furthermore, I can't really understand why every year, year after year, people make the decision to come to LU and then complain about it. I'm really getting tired of it.
The second Fallacy i gotta kinda disagree with from one statement from Jerry. While decisions are made by the board the "tie" issue for males makes me think he did have the final say in certain areas of his choosing. I heard him quote many times that the board voted ties down a long time ago but i thought they should still incorporated into the dress code. He then went on to say they can vote how they want but i have the final say in all decisions. He made that statement in a respectful way, but still i think he point was pretty darn clear, if he wanted to decide certain things he did, if not leave it up to the board.

Not true. LU makes decisions for the students off campus as well. An opposite-sex couple can't be alone together. R-rated movies are off-limits. That's only a couple of them, but it supports this girl's suggestion that LU doesn't treat its students as young adults. I think she's spot on.

I'm not saying that Jerry didn't have any say in the matter, or that he couldn't have created any of the rules, but that sort of thing was the exception. He didn't sit in his office and come up with the Liberty Way. Several people came up with that and the board of trustees approved and made the final changes. Of course he could have changed something. He was Jerry. But that was not my point.

I'd say that shows LU does treat them as young adults. I know what young adults do.

I agree with that, i just didn't agree with this...."False. Liberty's rules were created based on decisions by the board of trustees."
