Great song! Good choice, Medic.

Okay, now that today's another day, I get to pick a new song, and only one this time, not the six or eight or however many I gave last time.

Rufus Wainwright - "In a Graveyard", it's short, but I love it.

I ABSOLUTELY loved "Brick" by Ben Folds Five. I had forgotten about them.

You do know that Brick is a song about a teenage couple having an abortion, right?

Agreed, I just wanted to make sure he knew the meaning behind the catchy tune.

It's not saying that abortion is ok. It's talking about a life experience.
Up the stairs to the apartment
She is balled up on the couch
Her mom and dad went down to Charlotte
They're not home to find us out
And we drive
Now that I have found someone
I'm feeling more alone
Than I ever have before

They call her name at 7:30
I pace around the parking lot
Then I walk down to buy her flowers
And sell some gifts that I got
Can't you see
It's not me you're dying for
Now she's feeling more alone
Than she ever has before

As weeks went by
It showed that she was not fine
They told me son, it's time to tell the truth

She broke down, and I broke down
Cause I was tired of lying

Driving home to her apartment
For a moment we're alone
Yeah she's alone
I'm alone
Now I know it
Nowhere in there does it glorify an abortion. It's basically the exact opposite.

It's definitely not glorifying abortion but I don't think it's really taking a stance either way. Ben's and his girlfriend from high school had an abortion and the song is about that experience.

I agree. He doesn't say it's ok, he doesn't say it isn't ok. He is saying this is what we did and this is how I felt after.

If I had to pick one song that I wanted everyone to hear, it would be "The Best I Have To Offer" by Three Cord Wonder, a band that unfortunately is no longer together. It was the first song I ever played on my podcast, and has become a sort of theme song of mine. The song (and that whole album, for that matter) is available for free download at their website.

"Will anybody understand it?
Well, I don't know.
Will anybody want to listen?
Well, I don't know.
Will anybody get the message?
Only God knows.
No more questions, please -
This is the best I have to offer."

Nice choice although I'd probably go with Immortality or Nothingman if I was choosing a song off Vitalogy.

I figured that you would the PJ selection :)

Went with that one because I think everyone can relate with it at some point in their life (although on a much smaller scale). It was hard to choose just one song from their catalog though....
