Just wanted to wish all you members of the Flamefans Forum a Happy Thanksgiving from the FYW household - don't eat too much turkey or ham or venison, green beans, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, pumpkin pie, apple pie, cake, mashed potatoes, and so on and so on..... And don't spend too much money on Friday unless the gifts for me then knock yourself out!!! Have fun and stay safe and God Bless you all!

Its days like today that remind us what an unbelievable God we serve. He always finds a way to rpovide all of our needs even when we have no idea how it will occur. And the scare we had with my daughter earlier this year seems like a distant memory as she is now perfectly healthy. God is unbelievably good and it is necessary for us to take the time to acknowledge it from time to time and give Him all the glory.

I don't think it is out of line to thank Him for how this FlameFans community has grown this year. Back a few years ago when it was just stevev & I chatting on the pathetic old alumni board (RIP) it would be hard to imagine when we are building here today. And we are commanding to praise God for whom all blessings flow, and I consider this place a blessing (particularly on the days we are back up after an outage).

Anyway, enjoy time with your families if you are fortunate enough to do so. And if you are really fortunate, think of me as you are inhaling that fried turkey drumstick. Fried turkey is the penultimate Thanksgiving Day feats IMHO. Turducken is OK .... but a big bird deep-fried in peanut oil cannot be beaten.

For me this year is especially special.

This time last year my sister Becky (the one Im often asking you to pray for) was in and out of the hospital and could barely keep anything down except soup). This year she ate a full plate with turkey, dressing, grean bean casserole and a roll. Considering that earlier this yeaer she was near death, that is an amazing testament to God as the Great Physician.

Also, we have been talking about doing major remodeling in our house and last year at this time it was just a dream. As I type this we are in another house while they continue with major renovations on our house. Id offer up pics but I do not have a digital camera. I may be able to get pics from my dad showing the before, but I will definitely try to get some after shots for yall. Basically, God has been oh so good to this family in the last year.
