MrsPA had it on earlier before we rushed the kids off... I could only take about 15 min of it.

Looked completely opposite of what a couple of 20 yr olds would have wanted for their wedding. Guess thats what happens when everything is planned out for you.

best of luck to them... they're gonna need it.

If America wants to be so interested in this wedding, perhaps we shouldn't have thrown all of that tea in the ocean.

I don't want to be insensitive, I'll just say it's amazing how everybody in America cares about some other country...

I'll leave it at that. If you enjoyed it, more power to you.

Someone tried to explain why this was so important. Even after them explaining for 20 minutes I still have no idea why. Bath and Body works selling discounted soaps with the British flag on it? Really? Every TV show in AMERICA having 1 if not 20 TV shows about it. I just cant think of anyone in America we would make this big of a deal over.

I was up for work anyway, so it was this or infomercials. I thought it was a beautiful wedding, Kate's dress elegant and not overdone with the veil and train, very modest/elegant yet sexy at the same time.

However, would I have gone out of my way to watch it? No. It was just a minor interest b/c everyone on this side of the pond was making a big deal over it.

Lang's fishwrap:

These ladies in Forest had way too much time on their hands. A Bedford County wedding party at 5:00 a.m.?

Friday evening, ABC had a 2 hour special on the wedding while thousands of people are suffering in THIS country, having lost everything, including loved ones. Poor form indeed! At least NBC had a full hour from Alabama before their hour on the wedding.

I hate weddings and the only one I remotely enjoyed was my own (boy will i get in trouble for that one when I come home tonight). However, I think the events of this weekend did represent something greater in terms of the Royal Wedding and the Beautification of John Paul II.

It is the last vestiges of an old Western Civilization that, while not perfect in its heydey, represented something good; Monarcy being Anglicanism and the idea of the fairy tale for the ladies and JP for the Catholic Church (Spare me the denominational stuff...I'm talking about general Western Civ).

This stuff represents a bygone era in a world full of hatred and pain and deep down need heroes and hope.

I'm glad our forefathers threw the tea in though. :clapping
