Since graduating in May, I've been getting by on my income from the bartending job at City Stadium, while applying all over the place for a fulltime job. Anyway, one day in June I was on the state jobs website, and saw a position open for a Disability Determination Analyst with the state Department of Rehabilitation in Roanoke, and basically they were looking for someone with writing skills, who knew stuff about budgets, and had some medical knowledge and I figured I fit all three of those (BS in journalism, MBA and EMT certification), so I went ahead and applied, got called for an interview, and for the past couple of weeks while I hadn't heard anything from anyone else, I was getting nervous until this afternoon when they called and offered me the job and I accepted. So, its a major relief and a major answer to prayer that I finally have that full time job.
