I'm not worried. If you're not lying to yourself you'll see that Republicans really aren't that different than Democrats, and I don't see Romney cutting student loans from the federal budget anytime soon. Only a true Libertarian would have the gumption to do that.
Well I have a unique take that several here share, but from the view of another Liberal Arts school, and "word on the street" says that the days of the online education bonanza will be changing as states look at alternative ways to provide education for residents. Do you really think that people will be interested in paying the current online ed fees when states start offering first and second year classes at the same rate or less than the local community college is charging? If I'm not mistaken, JLFJR mentioned that the current program wouldn't always be the cash cow that it currently is, or something to that effect. It isn't about the availability of loans as much as it is the ability of schools to keep up with ever-rising costs, and the ability of graduates to get work that pays for the blossoming debt that they accrue.
... and no, I don't things change that much between the parties. Too difficult to wean the country off of debt and to get the leaches to learn how to be producers.
