And our students were begging for one of those at LU. You can't get a much more wholesome activity than bowling! According to one of our players who is an alumna, even Pensacola Christian College as an on-campus bowling alley).A bowling alley would be great, especially if we end up adding a bowling team before the decade is done.

Heck, I'd even manage the place if someone wanted to buy it but not run it. (Wink, wink, wealthy alumni).Actually, that AMF was in trouble for a while. LU's own Dr. Lindstra was hired to turn it around several years back.

I'm taking classes back home at a community college and am a Photography major and the stuff i have learned in 8 classes here, I didnt learn in all my time in the VCAR program at Liberty... but I do think adding some faculty to the VCAR department that are more specialized would help as wellI believe adding some more faculty in this department would be great. I can vouch for one specific member of the faculty whose credentials (both professional & academic) are off the charts who might be able to expand some opportunities sooner rather than later. He doesn't have anything to do with photography track.

Charles Spence, Liberty’s director of planning and new construction, said the site is an ideal place for a new welcome center, a sort of “main hub” for all visitor information.
“We’re hoping to make it one of Liberty’s finest buildings ever. It will give a very good first impression for all the visitors coming to Liberty,” he said.
The new location will place Liberty’s guests right across the street from the bookstore and within easy walking distance of the Carter-Glass Mansion and Williams Stadium.
Construction is set to begin March 1 on the new 32,000-square-foot facility, which will house a large meeting room, smaller rooms for meeting with students and parents, a museum and a theater.

Hopefully Liberty will still consider building more "traditional style" dorms. As a former youth pastor, I would advise my students to live in traditional dorms. East Campus Dorms are not as conducive to making friendships as are the "traditional dorms."how are traditional dorms good for their grades? or better than East? I've never heard that argument before
Personally, I believe all freshman and sophomores should be strongly encouraged (not a hard and fast rule) to live in a "traditional dorm." It's good for them (and their grades).

The fact that we have come so far that the building which was once the showpiece of our athletic department is now considered totally inadequate is exciting to me.Yeah I think this new Visitors Center will be great. Right now the bookstore is used like a Visitors Center and it gets so crowded on football days. I think this will help alleviate some of that congestion. Also, they said they want this to be "one of our finest buildings ever". Should be a great building.

From JLFJR on Jan 24th:
"The road across from the Wingate was used to get the drill rig trucks in to test for rock. Amazingly, we found very little rock. However, we decided not to build any athletic/intramural fields on the site, at least, not now.
