catalano's is a nice deli and local ownership.the owner moved back from NYC to open it. a great asset to downtown and the bolier room is classic. it is hidden as stated before but the owner "chopper" who owns the entire block that houses parlor lofts, market on main, catalano's and taste selects is a stand up guy and is not going to let his place become some crazy bar late night. behind the bar is an actual old school boiler that has been turned into a champagne chiller. it is pretty cool. yes im a downtown proponent! see what it has to offer and get outside the liberty "bubble".
