Well I'm home from Iraq and now I need a part-time job while I finish school. Anyone know of part-time job openings in Lynchburg? I keep looking online and I see a lot of pointless "Work at home and earn a million dollars a week" ads. I'm hoping to find a job I can further myself in, flipping burgers is not an option. Any tips/info would be greatly appreciated. 8)

I worked at B&N for most of my time during undergrad.

And don't dismiss flipping burgers. I started at the Hillcats the summer of my freshman year as just a cashier in the concessions stand. By the time I got to my senior year, the manager was made head coach of our tennis teams and I had earned myself a GA position. Just saying that God moves in mysterious ways and a path that seems to go nowhere might actually be paved with gold.

crew is a good oppty, but they are not flexible hours as they require you to work a full eight hour shift on either saturday or sunday. just food for thought.

Welcome back! PM me- I might have a flexible job opening depending on your school load. I one had an LU grad who worked for me while he was completing a MS in Chemistry at LC. It worked for him! Shoot- I'm working full time and working on my Masters, as well, so I can relate.

agreed on everything said about J. Crew. decent pay for part time, no flexibility on hours though once they're set. B&N bookstore on campus isn't horrible either.

Whatever you do, you better get one of these jobs before the students get back, or else they'll take all the jobs. You've got a leg up on them.
