Disclaimer: This is not a "get Glennon to transfer" thread. I would like to see the current QB perform on gameday the way the reports during Spring and Summer Camp sold us on. From the reports, it would make for some exciting LU football (from the offensive side of the ball.) Just saw this on the news, thought I'd post it here for discussion.

Tech decides to go with Taylor at QB for Ohio U. game
In August, Virginia Tech quarterbacks coach Mike O'Cain said this year would be different for Sean Glennon.
Last year, the coaches weren't certain Glennon was the right guy to lead their team. At times, they considered replacing him with one of the backups. This year, O'Cain said during summer practice, it was "Sean Glennon, period."
A strong winter of workouts and noticeable improvements in poise and passing had given the junior a great grip on the gig. So much so that Tech moved its No. 2 quarterback, Ike Whitaker, to wide receiver during camp...
But Monday, just two games into this season and after 15 consecutive starts for the Hokies, Glennon officially lost his job.
Head coach Frank Beamer named true freshman Tyrod Taylor, a blue-chip recruit from Hampton High School, the new No. 1. He'll start his first college game Saturday against Ohio.
It was certainly a shock to Glennon, who is now left wondering what to do with the rest of his career...
