RubberMallet wrote:you have to be an egomaniac to commit to kentucky at this point. you have to think you are an absolute stud to get PT.Well he is the best HS prospect since LeBron James, and I've read where knowledgeable people say that he would be starting in the NBA for any team that didn't have an All-Star caliber player at SF. I think that counts as absolute stud.
RubberMallet wrote:he is but still. thats a crowded house in kentucky. That is true, but small forward is the "weak" spot if there is any such thing at Kentucky next season based on current roster.

I heard it from a guy who heard it from a guy who read it in a blog post by a guy who knows Wiggins' stepbrother's aunt's drycleaner. It's a done deal.

TDDance234 wrote:The fact that he cancelled all his in-home visits after meeting with Calipari speaks volumes to me. He's Kentucky bound.I wouldn't read a whole lot into it even though one obviously can. He was still stuck in Portland yesterday because of flight cancellations and delays after the Nike Hoops Summit, so he didn't cancel the visits until early yesterday when he figured out he wouldn't be able to get home for the first visit. The last day to have in-home visits is Wednesday. So the earliest he would be able to get home is today, and I assume he wouldn't want to deal with coaches today, so that would mean having to meet with three coaches all on Wednesday. That's a lot of coach BSing to put up with in one day!

People around him are saying he is exhausted from all the all-star game travel and is sick of the recruiting process. I have a feeling because of that he will announce a decision very shortly after he finishes the round of phone calls with Self, Roy, and Hamilton.

At Kentucky, he'd be battling their other top recruits for the bonus money. Sure, UNC has some very good players, but Kentucky's going to be over the NBA luxury tax next year.FIFY

For that reason, I think he goes to Ky, making it the greatest signing class in history. And then he leaves for the NBA after 1 year...2 tops
