Seriously tho, I honestly don't think it eliminates us. What if we ONLY lost to Laffy last year, would we have been out? I don't think so. Losing to JMU IS NOT losing to Presby.
Last year, the 16th team had no business being in the playoffs. Some have also said we may not have made it even without the Presby loss. I dont agree with that, but its an answer.
With that said, this year is completly different than last. There are a possible 6 CAA teams with legit resumes. The Big Sky could send 2. The MVC could send 3. McNeese St and Stephen F. Austin are probably making it as well. Theres alot to choose from right now. Will it be that way come November? hopefully not. Point is we do need alot of help, and JMU finishing 6-5 doesnt help
You're really not taking everything into account. Go back to your list.
The CAA will really struggle to get 6 in, since they all have to PLAY EACH OTHER. The MVC will get 3, but SIU isn't a "lock" and can still be knocked out. McNeese will not make it, They have 2 or 3 loseable games and I don't think they have what it takes to win all of them... they lost a low scoring game to SFA today... SFA doesn't win low scoring games...
The CAA is
Locks

Richmond
UNH
Nova
Virtual Locks
---
W and M
Maybes
---
UD
UMass
JMU
Need a Miracle
---
Maine
Hofstra
UMass hasn't proven anything yet, and I'm pretty sure they're going to fade away, they did terribly today... and so then JMU @ UD becomes a play in game... so there's your 5 for the CAA.
