Bobby Bowden teams up with Jerry Falwell

FSU coach Bobby Bowden took a break from spring football to give a testimonial Monday morning before 10,000 Liberty University students and to meet the Rev. Jerry Falwell for the first time.

He also picked up a few jokes and was reminded of FSU's national status as he is trying to return his program to its once regular place as national championship contender.

Bobby Bowden was great in convo today...first convo in like a year and a half and very well worth it...very funny, and seemed very down to earth...but I am surprised GMTM isn't on here telling people about how he took Bobby to the airport....first thing i heard when I saw him in the station....haha....made me laugh of course

bobby can tell a story that is for sure....I loved seeing the FSU flag in the crowd...it made me happy....

Believe it or not I don't make a big deal out of everything...HMO was very helpful this weekend and Coach Bowden was great..He did an interview with Rich yesterday and it will play on the show tonight...Now if you want I can talk about me having to talk all 51 NASCAR drivers for COT testing at Richmond..but I spare you that....

haha...i know man...i just thought it was funny it was the first thing you said to me...you are right, you didn't really make it out to be a big deal..and you never do, that i have heard and i think everybody on the board knows that...but it was still funny...

i too had the chance to meet bobby, and he is a super guy. as down to earth as you can find.
