Speaking of Jeff Samardzija, what career decision would you make if you were in his position?

He was drafted by the Cubs last spring as a pitcher (93 mph fastball, decent change-up, pretty good slider, ERA under 3.00 in A last summer).

He can also play a little wide receiver.

So, do you go for the NFL draft and see what happens? Quit football and focus on pitching? Try to do both? (By the way, I don't know how many pitchers have been able to go the Bo Jackson/ Deon Sanders route and do both.)

i have no idea what i'd do....i would want to know where i would be projected to go in the draft.....he's tall and he has good hands....needs some meat on his bones but i think he'd be good in the nfl

Your football window isn't very long. If I'm him, I've got to give football a chance and if that doesn't work, you're done with your rookie deal by the time you're 26 or so, which still gives you a chance in someones pen.
