It's all about the pitching (see above discussion for good and bad points on that one). If you can trot an ace out there with a couple of good pitches, he can make the opposing batters look like, well, little kids.

Asia has generally dominated this tournament over the years. Starting with Chinese Taipei and now Japan. US has had some good showings the last few years though.

Columbus, GA (Columbus Northern Little League) is the 2006 Little League World Series Champion over Kawaguchi City Japan 2-1. Kyle Carter goes all 6 innings and strikes out 11.

It was a lot of fun to watch. You would not believe how serious baseball has become in the football crazy south. The kids play a very high level of baseball at very young ages. Many kids are playing baseball year round which I think is not a good idea.
