And, I didn't realize it was 2-3-2. So game 6 is in LA. So LA in 6 makes a little more sense I guess... but still think it will be a 7 game series.

Yeah, it's nice watching The Red Sox (see a geographic theme here with a certain place in New England?) sit ahead of the Rays in the standings yet again.

So then where do the Bobcats and Wildcats come from?

Bobcats are "local" for Lynchburg. Wildcats because I lived in Scott County, KY, for a year, which is the county beside Lexington.

Wizards are in DC, Bobcats are in Charlotte - neither are in VA. And according to google maps, each one is right at 3.5 hours from Lynchburg, so not really any difference.

Magic shooting terrible so far, but its been a good game. Just hope the Magic warm up before the 4th starts. Start to gain some ground.

Of course, Rafer keeps insisting upon shooting, when he just can't. Since he had that great game against CLE, he hasn't been able to shoot at all.

And this game is over. Rafer is KILLING US out there with his terrible shooting, and the defense is spotty (as usual, but when we're not shooting, and giving them transition looks, it compounds the problem).

Rafer = 2-8
Kobe = 15-27

Kobe is owning the Magic worse than a grand theft auto character does a prostitute when he wants to get his money back in the game

Cute analogy. Sorta appropriate for Kobe, too.

But if the Magic were shooting better than 30% this would be a game right now. It's not just Kobe dominating. The Magic are missing open shots. LeBron dominated and the Magic beat the Cavs. Superstars get their numbers... its not like we were going to stop him. But the Magic need to make their shot. They just showed a montage of shots that, had they gone in, this game would be so different right now.

Not to mention... the Lakers actually hustle. The Cavs didn't. It makes a big difference. The Magic are a good hustle team, so we got points against the Cavs because they lacked hustle. The Lakers don't lack hustle, so the 50/50 plays go both ways, instead of going all to the Magic.

This is exactly why Kobe is still the best in the league. He shows up when it counts

He's not doing that much more than LeFraud did against the Magic. His team is just better. And the coach is WORLDS better than Mike Brown. He is having an average Kobe game. Takes tons of shots, makes about half, gets boards and dimes, and goes home with a win.

40/8/8 is not an average Kobe game...

His regular season averages were 27/5/5. His playoff averages are 30/5/5. To say he had an average games makes your Magic look even worse, Kobe only had an average game yet the Magic couldn't even compete with them? What are they going to do when Kobe has a great game, lose by 40?

Kobe didn't make the Magic shoot 30%.

Stop kissing Kobe's feet and watch the game for crying out loud. He was 16-34. That's an average Kobe game. 40 points sounds nice, but it was on 42 shots (8 from the line, 34 from the field). He shot just under 50%. Guess what his average is... I bet you already know it tho (His average in both the post season and regular season is just under 50%). The A/R 8/8 is slightly above average, but the 8 dimes will happen when your teammates all shoot well, and the rebounds will happen when you're playing a jump shooting team that gives him plenty of long rebounds, and doesn't really crash the offensive glass (D12 stays under the glass, and everyone else leaves, so Kobe can just go in and get the board and run the offense.)

And your "debate" is, again, terrible. I said KOBE had an average game. The Lakers had a great game. Good D, good balanced offense. Kobe can go for 40 every game, 50 or 60 even. That's not what will win them a game. It's all about the supporting cast. Gasol, Fisher, and Walton all had great games, and that, along with the solid team defense, won the game for the Lakers.

So you can let Jeff Van Gundy, the coaching reject, tell you what you know about basketball. I'll let the games I watch with my own eyes tell me.

Cute.

Then what do the two wins in the regular season over the Lakers tell you?

The Magic are a shooting team that had an off night. I bet you didn't think that Jodie Meeks sucked when he went 5/20 against UNC, because you knew he was a good shooter who had an off night. That's what happened to the whole stinkin' team tonight.

And I really should stop "debating" with you, since you're really nothing more than a troll.

Why don't you ask Dwight Howard which he'd rather win: two regular season games or NBA Finals games.

Yeah, you're terrible. You take things from one context and turn them into another, just to make yourself seem like some kind of good debater.

You're ridiculous and I can't wait for you to get banned again.

I'm gonna side with lefty on this one. partly because he's right and the other part is i hate seeing the Steven A. Smiths of the board come out of the woodwork just long enough to get their heads from The Black Mamba's rear. I watched the game with my mom(don't even start the jokes) who knows very little about basketball.... you know the overwhelming analysis my mom came up with? THe magic would have been in the game had they hit open shots especially from 3 land. Someone please look up the actual stat for the team but it had to be terrible. Look we can argue this point till we are blue in the face but Kobe isn't the best player there is,was or ever will be. Sorry. Call me a hater. call me whatever. Kobe is a GREAT player but he simply is not THE BEST. So before Kobeholics jump on my case I realize the talent and will give credit where credit is due. But if Kobe is the Black Mamba Lebron is the King Cobra From Wikipedia:
The black mamba is the largest venomous snake in Africa and the second longest venomous snake in the world, after the King Cobra.

I know Kobe's season averages arent as good as LeBron's but thats because Kobe's team is so good. Usually opposing defences put their best defender on Kobe so Kobe takes himself out of the game and lets his team do their own thing. I'm pretty sure LeBron has had alot more of his team's possessions than Kobe has.

How do you all suggest the Magic change their high pick and roll defense? Kobe abused them with it last night. Obviously, switching on the Bynum screen and having Howard/Gortat backing off to prevent the drive isn't going to work because, unless Kobe is just having a bad shooting night, he is going to continue to make those wide open mid to long range 2-point jumpers.

to say that Kobe didnt play amazing is ignorant. he had 40 points in the finals, only 46 people have done that!!!! plus i want to say this was like his 74 time scoring 30+ in the playoffs, putting him past some guy named elgin baylor and behing 3 guys named jerry west, abdul jabar, and this no named guy named jordan.

Stop arguing that Lebron is better, if he was better he would be in the finals and not sitting at home right now. period. if he was such an amazing player he would will his team to victory, but he didnt, and now he is at home, his and the 27 other teams in the nba are at home. you cant even begin to start saying someone is the best when they get knocked out of the playoffs, or they are better then someone who has 3 rings and the above stats in the finals. thats ignorance. this would be a different situation if bron was on another team, o get off it!!! if lebron is ever going to be the greatest he has to learn how to win it all no matter what the odds, stop blaming it on his team, his coach, his whatever. bron's team lost, and in basketball thats what really matters!! all amazing players played on amazing teams. period. so get off it!

and give credit where credit is due, if dwight put up 40 points last night the whole board would be jumping on how great he is.

Let me spell this out for you...

HE

TOOK

FOURTY

TWO

SHOTS!

A 40 point game isn't really impressive JUST BECAUSE he scored 40 points. He shot his season average from the floor, and just took more shots. That's a selfish game, not an amazing game. When D12 scored 40 against the Cavs, he took THIRTEEN less shots from the floor than Kobe did (I know comparing forwards to guards is apples to oranges, but the fact remains that D12 was shooting 70% from the floor, which is well above his season average, and that's what makes for an incredible game).

Yes, LeBron's team lost. That doesn't make him a worse player. He does more, with less, than Kobe does.

And MJ was the "greatest". Kobe is not. If Kobe wants to be the "greatest" he needs to win without the most dominant big man in the past 20 years. Shaq has proven that he is a team changing, game winning, force, and Kobe has proven he can't win without that.

And guess what it took to get Kobe back to the finals??? BIG MEN. Three of them, to be exact. So don't act like Kobe wins regardless of who's on his team. If he doesn't have a big, he isn't as affective. He can't carry a team on his own.
