worse than Jeff Garcia.

Lito Sheppard comes thru again, as Philly finally WINS one late in the 4th rather than BLOWING it late in the 4th.

I had to leave the room on the final FG attempt, as to not jinx Akers. And it worked.

seriously, we lose that game and the season is done.

Favorite parts of the game:

1. SLY (the REAL one) STALLONE in the booth

2. In true Philly fashion, the fans BOOING Garcia when he got up after being drilled in the 3rd quarter (?) and looked hurt.
(even Theisman was disgusted with that one- booing your own guy because he was OK

By the way, the Panthers pretty much screwed themselves. They said Jake Delhomme or bust. The depth chart reads:

1) Jake Delhomme
2) Chris Weinke

There is no 3rd QB. Weinke isn't much better.

carolina sucks anyways, i never understood the hype for them this season coming in...people had them penciled into the super bowl...but then again it is the NFC, they still could make the super bowl...

They do suck, but there was no way to know that would be the case coming in to this season. Did you miss Carolina's 05-06 season? There was no reason to think this team would do any worse than last year after adding Keyshawn Johnson and DeAngelo Williams. Those were the two things Carolina lacked last year, a second receiving option and a quality RB. Williams needs time to mature but Keyshawn was supposed to balance out Steve Smith and pad the passing game to give Williams that time.

After rolling over the Giants AT NJ, taking the Bears AT Chicago and then finally losing AT Seattle in the playoffs last season, Super Bowl expectations were not unrealistic for a team that made the moves everyone thought they needed to make. They were only one game short of the Bowl last year, with the same team. So yes, the Panthers suck this year but please don't act like Super Bowl talk was unreasonable for this team. If you didn't get it, you weren't paying attention.

P.S.

Right now everyone on the team (excluding 89 & 90) sucks harder than a black hole, John Fox included.
