I lost all respect for this HC using the race card for being fired.

I´m not a big fan of his bringing it up either, especially so soon, but he brought out a startling statistic. Of the 41 black coaches fired by FBS schools, exactly one, Ty Willingham, has gotten another HC job at the same level. They tend to get hired for bad programs and expected to turn them around in an unrealistically short time, and then when they are fired they simply don´t get the second (or more) chances that a lot of white coaches get. I personally don´t ascribe to the concept that numbers never lie, but I do think these numbers reveal an ugly truth.

In this guy's case he had never been a OC or DC and given a HC position. Was it because it was the PC to do, since people have been crying for black head coaches? CU is a liberal university, so that seems likely what happened.
This head coach lost to Sacremento State at home this year. He is a bad coach. Anytime someone does not want to accept responsibility for his or her actions, failures, just throw out the race card. The HC at South Mississippi was let go after one season, going 0-12. But don't worry, I believe he is white. I also bet he does not get too many head coaching opportunities in the future.

I think it may be a subconscious thing going on. I don't think people are thikning 'he is black lets get him out' but there are many OC/DC's that are black that aren't given a real chance.

I am not going to say its racist, or anything like that but there is at least something to it. Honestly though, the person standing up to say this shouldn't be the guy who just got fired. He performed badly, it happens. By pointing this out he simply looks like someone that is bitter for losing his job and it doesn't really do his cause any good.

In my opinion USF has unrealistic expectations for their program, but skip holtz didn't really do anything to improve that program at all
