It is not officially announced but former Missouri assistant Jeff Meyer is now working the phones as part of Indiana coach Kelvin Sampson's new staff in Bloomington. So who is Jeff Meyer? We take a look at his background which has a distinctly Hoosier flavor to it. Besides his in-state roots he has extensive head coaching experience including leading a team into the NCAA tourney. Find out more today about the new Hoosier basketball coach.

I tell you what man this board very rarely wrong, and it'll get the info way before it'll hit the press since there are so many creditable members such as myself, and maybe 1 or 2 others out of the 118 members! 8)

is it me or has Jeff's teams found investigations a few times in the last 5 years? If he's so good why wouldn't he get the Mizz job or at least a contender. What did he do at LU for some of yall kiss his butt so much, 1 title? What a joke! He'll be a assistant from here on out.

Yes, Mizzou has had some NCAA problems, but they stem from things that happened before he got there...His other recent stops (Butler & Winthrop) have had no NCAA problems that i am aware of...

Hey Beavis, they have some medication now that will help you remeber if you already posted something or not!!! I believe the term for your condition is either Alzheimers, ADHD or JKAS. Not sure which.
BTW, your question was answered and your "facts" shown as fallacies.

Don't forget 1980 Final Four with Purdue under Lee Rose.

Joe Barry Carroll ... the ultimate NBA bust. That guy was the hottest hoops card ont he market when he came out. I remember us all dying for his rookie card (Topps was the only manufacturer back then). Good times.

He may be the biggest bust in the NBA of all time but there is a short list that I would like to mention. With apologies to BigSmooth. Ralph Sampson, Pervis Ellison, Danny Manning, Waymon Tisdale.

with all due respect to your outstanding hoops knowledge SCAR, you can hardly call soeone a bust who went down with a knee injury. ralph put up excellent numbers while playing, but to call him a bust and compare him to those scrubs is a bit unfair.

SCAR, are we going to have to institute drug testing on this board?

Ralph went to the Finals. Bad Knees cut his career short. Same with Nervous Pervis.
Wayman a bust?!?! He had a GREAT career for the Pacers. Even WITH those ugly uniforms!!

Now Shawn Bradley, Michael Smith (BYU) Benoit Benjamin,, Stanley Roberts, Hersey Hawkins, or Any Wizards/Clippers/Bucks draft pics of the 80's or 90's you may have a point!

Ralph's career never reached its full potential due to the knees, but he had an above average NBA career nonetheless. Not the 1st Ballot HOF career we all expected, but certainly nothing to be embarassed about (unlike JBC).

Interesting discussion for sure. I happen to like Ralph Sampson and you guys are right, the knees did him in unlike some of the other guys we mentioned who just fizzled. Tisdale had some years late for the Pacers but he was a beast in college. I am surprised no one defended Manning. I like some of the others you guys mentioned. I forgot about Sean Bradley. That is because I went to my happy place in my mind when I thought about any negative Sixer moments. How about the big dude from GW that went a year early. Yinka Dare. I think he passed away a few years ago though. Sorry to bring the board down with that memory...Apologies to Brokeback and Bigsmooth for mentioning their boys Tisdale and Sampson in the same light as JBC!
