As I was walking my dogs this morning, it hit me that I could potentially have LU coming to my house in a sport someday. Sam Houston uses the three 18-hole courses in my neighborhood for their competition tracks. They are hosting a tourney literally in my backyard right now (mainly Division I Texas, Arkansas & Louisiana schools) and do so on a fairly regular basis. Sammy owns their own course in Huntsville but it is not up to NCAA competition standards.

So a quick check of where the CUSA tourney is being held this year is in Texarkana where LaTech is the presumed host. I also noted that LU is hosting the NCAA Regional at Poplar Grove this year. I had forgotten that we were selected by the NCAA five years ago for the honor. I guess I should be paying closer attention.

LU split with UTEP 2.5 - 2.5 in matches. In the playoff hole, LU loses on the first hole.

Won the stroke play portion earlier this week by by 6 strokes. 13 better than UTEP, only to lose to them in head to head matches.

Still good chance they make the NCAA's
