Sadly this how much of America views the election. Even most of my democratic friends admit Obama isn't a good choice but they consider him the most electable. I rarely meet anyone enthusiastic about McCain.

The GOP desperately needs some new young stars to emerge.

Frankly I'd love to see some LU alumni step forward. If I were better connected in the political money machine I might be inclined to participate. But my exposure to said machine was at times disconcerting.

That's a stretch based on his brief appearance in Lynchburg.

We actually have some LU grads in various political office. But we're nowhere near as influential as we could be.

I thought about holding my nose and actually voting Constitutional until I found out he was their candidate. If it was Baldwin vs. Obama, I'd have to vote Obama or stay home.

I can't quite put my finger on it, but I can't bring myself to support the guy. I lived in Pensacola for a while, and even knew some people from his church. I got along with them just fine, but Baldwin himself just rubs me the wrong way.
