State GOP names its general counsel

A lobbyist and lawyer, Chris Stewart of Little Rock, has been appointed the Republican Party of Arkansas’ general counsel, party chairman Dennis Milligan said Wednesday.

A native of Brinkley, Stewart earned his bachelor’s degree in government from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., in 2000 and his law degree from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Va., in 2003.
