LU Notebook: Broken toe may sideline Pinigis

Liberty right tackle Eddie Pinigis suffered a broken toe in practice last week and will probably miss Saturday's season opener against Tusculum.

i hope eddie does not play till W&M. no need in playing him against these D2 teams.

Coach Rocco indicated in yesterday news conference that he wanted to play it safe and not hurry Eddie back so that he would be closer to fully healed once we got into the heart of the schedule.

I agree with the above. No sense in risking further injuries against division 2 competition. This gives others the opportunity to see more time on the field. Hopefully Eddie will be ready vs W & M.
