Hey guys, thought I would pass this on to you. A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to a financial seminar given by a former basketball player, Erik Sorensen. Apparently, he just moved back to the Burg from Colorado. He had been running this business in Colorado for the past 7 years or so, and is now looking to branch out into the local area. I was really impressed with what he and his wife had to stay. He is also defintately looking for any part time or full time employees to get started in the business. I am considering starting part time with him, and see where it leads.

If you are interested, definately feel free to contact Erik. He has meeting each Tuesday evening at 6:00. It is worth you time to look into this. His office is located at 102 Oakley Ave. If you want to contact Erik his email is erikgmp@hotmail.com.

Is this Quixtar or something similar to it?

I want to know the same thing ATrain. I'm a little wary of the word "business" being thrown around generically while also being invited to a seminar. Maybe it's legit, but I'd certainly like to hear more details.

Side note, that may or may not apply to this post...

Let me just say now that I will put the digital smackdown on anyone that comes to FlameFans trying defend Quixtar or any other pyramid "business". Those kind of folks ARE NOT WELCOME ON THIS BOARD. I'll consider you a spammer and you'll find yourself banned very quickly. If it's worked for someone or if you think it's legit, then that's fine, but don't talk about here and don't contact any of our users for the purposes of recruiting. You have been warned.

Guys I know this is not Quixtar. I know Erik has moved to Lynchburg recently and is ready to expand his business. He will be at our tailgates too so you guys will get to know him better. Most of us old timers know him as Erik Sorensen our starting power forward next to Peter Aluma back in the last years of coach Meyer.

If SCAR vouches for him I'd give it credibility.

of course if he's wrong, he's dead to us

I thought I was already dead to you for forgetting that you were coming down for the 1st game....Oh and bring me a cheesesteak when you come too man. Actually no need. I have a place called Mojo's here in Richmond that has captured the essence of a cheesesteak so I get my fill, believe me

As far as Legitimate business? All I know is Erik is a Legitamate guy and he is doing well. I believe his business is in the financial industry and that it is part of one of Liberty's biggest financial contributors' institutions. The term Pyramid scheme is a nasty phrase and it should be. Those things have ruined many people and misleads and uses good people. I don't think Erik would be a part of something like that. So in short, I am vouching for Erik as a standup guy. You may get to hear what he has to say and decide that it is not for you. That is fine. Thanks for the vote of confidence though Scorcho! You are da man 8) Oh yea and you too Medic :P

Primerica is a legitimate business. I believe it deals with Financial Planning and was started by the man who's name is on our Football Stadium. I have sat through a presentation before - was very impressed - at the time, back in college years - had no money, so there was nothing to manage:)

There used to be an LU prof who did Primerica locally, he was always set up at the career fairs. I believe it's owned by Citicorp.

Well THIS endorsement is worth way more than I could EVER do. Thanks Proto. You have SCAR-like credibility when it comes to money as far as I am concerned 8)

My endorsment may kill ALL credibility but I will give it as well. This is a biz that AL Williams sold to Citigroup. Eric is a stand up guy. I even sat through a presentation a few weeks ago (only fell asleep once!) This is a financial planning service that starts at the ground floor. It provides education and services for people who may or may not have that much business accumen. It does operate on referals, but not in the sense that Quixtar (Latin for THE DEVIL) does. You are not selling soap or cleaning supplies.

I've been doing a lot of research on it and here's what I've come up with. It's legit, but it's got it's problems. Just like any other business. Real groundbreaking stuff, I know. I think it'd be tough to make a lot of money doing this while being ethical but welcome to comission based services.
