Just got a call from a friend...
...his son is a freshman catcher at VMI, and is starting at DH for VMI tonight against Florida. Ryan Litz played at JF and was on the Commonwealth Games team after his junior year and played in the State Coaches Association All Star game after his senior year. He is a fine young man with a great family...
...a shame he's not at LU, he would fit the mold.

The Keydets are building a solid baseball program up there. Right now its their most successful of the major sports.

Litz with a double and an RBI to give VMI the 1-0 lead off of Florida ace and 2006 US National team player Bryan Augenstein.
(I used to coach the kid in travel ball with his dad, so I have a vested interest, in addition to seeing a Big South school do well)
