Former WV State University Coach Calvin Bailey passed away Sunday. He won 1063 games in his career, most of any college coach in the state, in any sport.

WVSU was originally an HBCU and was called West Virginia Colored Institute, but now the enrollment is 7% black. They are a D2 school in the suburbs of Charleston, and two of my cousins graduated from there. Coach Bailey, RIP is originally from Spencer, WV, which is in the same county where I grew up.
