I wouldn´t be surprised if the pollsters discount this win because their QB got hurt. Of course we beat the (cough) number one (cough, cough) team in the FCS last year with our QB out.

I think Montana's game plan was to stop the run, and have Woodrum ( and apparently King) beat them with their arms. Solid game plan but defense played great

Can you get to a couch? Or at least a love seat? And some lighter fluid

I'm about to crack open a Dr. Pepper or something. Living on the edge at 10:45PM. Maybe I'll go out and get some chocolate milk if I really wanna get wild.

Don't know if we're one of the ten best teams in the country but we may be ranked around 10.

Although Delaware State losing to a DII didn't help.

If we can pull of the win next week - and especially if we can do it convincingly - we may have a legit shot at 10-1.

Yes. I realize I'm posting emotionally after a big win. I don't care.

Yeah, but that offense was moving nowhere until the QB change happened.

1) It's a weird feeling to win a game like this, even after the playoff run last year.

2) On a different day, ball bouncing the other way, this could be a completely different game. It feels great to have watched LU represent well in an evenly matched affair. I hope we find a way to extend this series. I think the trip to Montana benefitted us in the long run, and nights like this one are great to experience.

3) Montana looked like Liberty circa 07-08. Tons of potential. A good amount of talent, but they played like a team that didn't know how to win on the road. Which reminds me - This game gave me the feeling we've officially graduated from the "big game jitters" syndrome that has plagued Liberty over the last.... well it's been a while.

4) Neither of the teams played championship football, in my opinion. Sloppy all around, but it's September and should be expected. This team is good and has a chance to get to places we haven't been to.

5) Atmosphere looked awesome. It's too bad jobs in Lynchburg pay next to nothing.

6) I had one Boulevard Wheat, which was pretty good.

Definitely a signature win for the program, and absolutely shattered the single game attendance record too. Great job by the defense, definitely an A+ for them this week. Offense gets a C+ for the lack of running game and for the number of sacks allowed as well. Major props to Shells and Zac Parker though for stepping up huge in the receiving game with Petey getting a lot of attention once again. If we can get wins in the next three games (SIU, GSU and GWU), we could be looking at 25,000+ for homecoming against Kennesaw State

Posters on AGS are touting Liberty as a National Championship contender after this win. I seriously think that Liberty blew some peoples' minds tonight.

I only got to see the 4th quarter, but I'll be watching the ESPN3 replay later on (probably tomorrow afternoon).

Is it posters or is it one guy who mentioned it? I'm excited, but let's not do the Liberty thing and go three steps further than we are.

I thought I saw it at least three times on there. I'm not sure we're there yet, but it's nice to have people talking like we are, rather than the "LIberty is over rated" stuff we usually hear.

That would go down as an overreaction I think, calling us a national championship contender. We definitely made a big step up and opened a lot of eyes tonight not only with the fact that we won, but how we won as well.

Also, props to Chima for passing Eric DeBerry for the all time career sacks record when he pancaked Chalich on the last play of the game

The griz board has been discussing all week about if they had the right QB starting. They really wanted to see one of the others get some snaps after their loss last week.

Great win! It got tight there for a while, but we showed that we are a legit top 10 team and finished this game off. I can't think of a better home win to be my last for a while. Well done Liberty!!!!
