Lady Flames win first official tournament title in Richmond
March 22, 2015 | Lynchburg, Va.
Seeded sixth out of 11 teams, Liberty University's women's Ultimate Frisbee team finished first at this past weekend's River City Tune-Up V, hosted by Richmond Ultimate at Dorey Park in Richmond, Va.
"This was our first tournament of the season, and is also our first-ever sanctioned regular-season tournament win in program history," Liberty Assistant Coach Jonathan Mast said. "The girls could not be more thrilled and I could not be more proud. We had six or seven players competing in their first tournament, and they didn't let the pressure get to them. They did great."
