Heya, folks!

While I know that November 8th is still a long way off, we're starting to lay down the groundwork for probably one of the BEST Tailgate parties for the Liberty Flames vs Monmouth Hawks game.

We're in the initial planning stages right now, HOWEVER, if everything goes to plan, this tailgate will rock from the morning until the Flames Administration kicks us out that night.



We'll have the TCR Inflatable tent (Pictured above, stands 14 feet tall), several smokers, free food, free giveaways, a LIVE Broadcast of TCR, SportsManCave.com's College Tailgate Saturdays and so much more.

Since this is ALSO Military Appreciation Day, I'll even bring my Oceana-based Navy Daughter (and one of her friends) to the game.

There's even a possibility that we just might bring one of America's MOST Patriotic Bands with us: Madison Rising (http://www.madisonrising.com). Their rendition of "America, the Beautiful" is phenomenal!

As with any MAJOR Tailgate party of this magnitude, we are looking for sponsors (financial and giveaways). Any extra funds left over after expenses will be donated right to the Liberty Flames and Monmouth Hawks Athletics Departments.

This will be a coordinated effort between myself, Jon, the Liberty Flames Athletics Department and hopefully the Monmouth Hawks Athletics Department. We want to welcome fans from BOTH schools.

If we can pull this off, this will be one for the ages. I am SUPER excited and can't wait to see y'all!

Haven't forgotten this yet.

Today should be the day that I hear back as to what type of tailgate we'll have. I have received confirmation that the band I want to have join us WILL be available. Just waiting to hear back from Liberty Athletics staff to see if they can accommodate our space needs (that's the biggest issue, aside from doing the sponsorship drive.

If we can make this happen, do understand that we'll need to raise a considerable amount of money to cover expenses. ANYTHING left over will go to both Liberty University (2/3) and Monmouth University (1/3). Right now, based off of budget projections, it looks like we'll be able to split $3,000 between the two schools, though the goal is to be able to get them more.

There's been a LOT of back and forth with Liberty University on this... with what we're planning, this is not something that can be coordinated overnight, especially when we have people traveling from 4 states (and two different parts of Virginia) for this.

Fingers crossed, I'll have the "Mother of ALL Tailgates" info page up tomorrow (just waiting on a couple final details from the LU Athletics Staff now).

We will DEFINITELY need sponsors for this and have a good idea of how we're going to structure the sponsorships.

We'll be looking for FOUR sponsors: A Title Sponsor and three Secondary Sponsors. You'll get a lot of love on gameday plus solid promotion on not only Two Cents Radio, but the network we operate under (SportsManCave.com / SMCRadio.com).

We definitely need financial sponsorship, but we also need another restaurant or two to help feed the masses (we're not charging ANYONE to attend our tailgate or to enjoy our show and listen to the band. This is a FREE event; the only requirement is that you have a ticket in hand or that you're attending Liberty).

We're going to work out some pretty awesome things IF we can meet all of our sponsor goals. I might even be able to be convinced to set up a crowdfunding account for anyone that wants to contribute.

jcmanson is acting as my local contact and will be co-hosting the radio show with me. Wouldn't dream of NOT including FF.

Yeah, we will be well represented. I'm looking forward to the event, it should be a great time! Our weekly FlamesNation tailgate will join forces with this tailgate. It's going to be an all day event with the radio show scheduled to begin at 10AM. I'm looking forward to co-hosting with Doug.

Just a heads up..... I've sent out sponsorship requests to four companies that do business nationally. I've got a personal connection with three of them.

Regardless of whether we can pull this event off or not (will know by next Monday), we have an INCREDIBLE Two Cents Radio show lined up for everyone next Wednesday (not two days from now, November 6th). We're working on having both Coach Callahan AND Coach Gill on... AT THE SAME TIME.

We'll of course have jcmanson on and quite possibly Jeff Barber again.

We still need some local sponsors, especially those that can offer financial contributions (so that we can make sure we have enough food for everyone). If you've got a restaurant (we don't need a BBQ place - we've got that covered), please contact jcmanson or myself.

Watch for an update from jcmanson, as well. I know that many FF fans have indicated a desire to help out with this event, so you'll have an update soon, I believe.
